EXO’s Luhan Files Lawsuit to Sever Ties with SM Ent
Sina’s entertainment desk broke the exclusive news story that EVERYONE has been waiting to hear. EXO’s Luhan has filed a lawsuit to void his contract with SM Entertainment, making him the second member and also the second Chinese member to want to formalize his escape from S.M.
Looked up the case ourselves. The suit was filed in Seoul on October 10 (Friday), 2014, local time. The contents of the 24-year-old’s lawsuit are very similar to that filed by Wu Yifan in May earlier this year.
Kim Young-min is the person named in the suit as the representative of S.M. Entertainment. Three lawyers are named as representing Lu Han’s interests in the case — Messieurs Cho, Heo, and Yoon.
Reasons given to Chinese media for the contract termination:
1. S.M. provided no future development plans.
2. There was discrimination in the treatment of Chinese and Korean members.
3. Income distributiona was unreasonable.
4. Luhan’s health was adversely affected to the point of sickness because of the high volume of work and stress.
Details to be added here after we digest all the facts.
