For context… Since the COVID inoculation campaign was started on February 26, there have been only 871 deaths from the novel coronavirus.

As of July 5, the number of first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine given in South Korea is 15,347,214. The country has approximately 51.4 million registered residents.
The number of cumulative inoculations is 5,321,022 and so the vaccination rate stands at 10.4 percent.
Four months have passed since the start of the vaccination drive on February 26.
The number of confirmed cases appears to remain high despite increasing numbers of Koreans getting vaccinated.
